Anyone with experience with real long-term use of Probat L25 or L50.
I really like the profiles I get on my 1992 L12... but twenty pounds at a time is killing me. I would consider larger size of same model but I have heard their engineering is not what it used to be; specifically the lack of cast iron in the construction of certain drum parts.
Also, i have read that they have fixed/updated many of the painful issues (roast/cool simultaneously, easier access for cleaning, more temp readouts and better flame controls, etc...)
i am soured on Diedrich
my UG22 doesn't allow for the finesse on lighter roasts as does the L12.
Someone suggested Joper, but their website doesn't convey a good understanding of roasting.
Thanks,
Vince
