Ryan,

I wasn't able to open the link, but I have used the Eva Solo Coffee Solo quite a bit. The beverage (when brewed properly...controversy over that topic will fall in line with the likes of Clover and every other device that gets into the hands of the specialty coffee industry) is similar to the press pot, nice solids, full body, plenty of cafestol! Are you looking for instructioons on preparation?

No. This is a new brewer. I've never seen it on the website before. Looks like it could be as simple as a prettier Technivorm, but I'm wondering if it has a comparable brew...

That has to be the least aesthetically pleasing product Eva Solo have released!

I didn't think you were looking for Cafe Solo instructions since I believe I'm sure I've seen you using one in the past. I did open the link and have to agree that it is not the most attractive device from Eva Solo and it does look suspiciously similar to a Technivorm (like I.P. problem close)...

I think that thing needs a neoprene jacket, zipped up with no opening. UGLY!

I like how it describes the carafe as 'jug.' Makes me think of a spittoon.

On a more attractive note, these are pretty great: http://www.walkuere.de/karlsbader.html?&L=3. RW- Wille has a couple over at Heart so you can check it out there. The brew I tried was sans paper, just straight through the porcelain filter. Full body, low sediment.
