Coffee Hydrometer

Postby Rob Larson on Tue Mar 19, 2013 7:54 am

I had both a coffee hydrometer and an extract mojo refractometer and found the hydrometer to be the most dependable. The tip of the hydrometer recently broke and I am having a heck of a time finding another one. Ours was made by Rascher & Betzold, Incorporated (no longer in business) Cat. No. R-186-287 "Pyrex" Hot Coffee Hydrometer Direct Reading Soluble Solids Range 0 to 1.8%. I have looked all over the internet with no luck or leads. If anybody knows where I can find one of these guys I would be very grateful for the help. Maybe one of you out there has one yourself and feel you really don't use it or need it and want me to buy it from you?? 8) Any insight on this would be great. Thanks,
