Speaking of Huehuetenango, the pronunciation is: "huweh huweh" and not "hoy hoy", right?

I only ask because I've actually heard people pronounce it: "Hoy hoy teh nang go". :shock:

As I read what you wrote, that sounds right to me, however, note that the "H" is COMPLETELY silent in spanish.

It sounds more like "wayway" to my ears when Edwin's said it. And as he said, like in many romantic languages, the H is silent.

Huehuetenango is properly pronounced wĕ-wĕ-tĕn-ăn-gō.
