Hi Luca - Thanks for the great questions.

We store the data on our secure servers so that you can access anywhere you have an internet connection. Only you have access to the data. The only way someone could get access to your data is if you provided them with the data we provided to you when you signed up. We simply store the data for your convenience and you have full rights to it.

The data is also stored on your local computer when you download using the ICMA Viewer. If you look in the directory under your "My Documents" you will find a folder called "icma". Each file is an XML file that can be read into several programs such as Excel or Microsoft Internet Explorer. We are working on a way to export the data into a CSV format.

On the fees we have been allowing everyone to continue using the application so we can get as much feedback as possible on how to improve. Currently we do not plans to charge and if we do in the future it will be a nominal fee to cover our expenses. If you choose to not continue use we can easily remove your files from the server.

Hopefully this answers all of your questions. If not, feel free to post again, or you can get to anyone from the Livio team at info@liviotechnologies.com.

Best regards, Terry

Hi Terry,

Thanks for that. I'll have a go at getting it up and running soon.

In the meantime, what are the chances of adding the coffee tasters' flavour wheels to it so that you can add the descriptions in those by tapping? I'd also love to see a way to add tasting notes and then save those notes so that they could be dropped in at the tap of a button.

Cheers,

Luca

Another cloud, the wave of the future. (I think I mixed my metaphors)

Hello
Well I wished a could say that I figured out a way to run this on a Mac but I can not. But than we have some very smart and talented Mac guys out their. One of them named David W @ Rojo Roastery who has. So Im going to post what he sent me. Thanks David you are the man

As long as you have an Intel-based Mac (I have a MacBook Pro), you can run WIndows-based apps. You have three choices:
(1) Bootcamp -- comes with SnowLeopard; does not toggle, so you have to completely shut down one environment to switch to the other;
(2) VMware Fusion - $69.00, plus you need to have a valid Windows O/S (my preference is XP Pro SP2); allows a simple toggling between environments without having to shut down;
(3) Parallels Desktop For Mac - $80.00, plus valid Windows O/S (see above); I have not tried this one.

Note that Mac supports only Bootcamp. In case you run into any problems, you will probably need to "buy" support from VMWare or Parallels.

Also you can go to the Roaster Guild and another smart MAC user came up with a way.
