Does anyone know where I could purchase a Hario Skeleton Mill? ... e/mill.htm

Japanese Amazon won't ship one to the US, and I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere else.

Try asking Raymond at Avenue 18 for a special order. He's the only one I know who imports directly from Hario in North America.

Good luck!

Great piece of equipment. I got to use it during an important cupping in Guat when it turned out the grinder they had been using was shot 8)

We have some coming from jp if you want one. Cleared customs and shipped to us 2 days ago so it would be available soon.

Contact Ben Kaminsky

He can give you notice when they arrive. We also picked up some other gear but he can relay that to you as well if you are curious.

Thanks for the replies. I just emailed Ben, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these.

I got a Skerton mill (somehow there is a confusion about the name) from Ben last week when we were both in town for SFN. I've been playing with it since, and it produces a beautiful grind while condensing and preserving dry fragrance.

My only complaint is that when the burrs are not loaded, there is quite a lot of float. This doesn't seem to be a problem when the burrs are loaded, but this could probably be fixed with some kind of sleeve to thicken the shaft where it exits the plastic assembly.
