Obama was next door getting breakfast at a local diner last year, during the primary. He walked by our door... but didn't come in. Some Secret Service dudes came in and asked if they could use our restroom, and one of them smiled at me when I told them "sure... no problem, with a purchase".
They bought some bottled water and used our restroom. It didn't really offset the fact that they more or less shut the whole block down for about 3 hours for photo ops. McCain's "Straight Talk Express" jammed up the local favorite sandwich shop a few blocks the other way. I guess I learned that a triple-ristretto espresso in a dainty little cup wasn't going to look "American" enough to get us the big fish.
So the local news came by yesterday and interviewed me- but they only showed the last bit of what I said... when I looked most like the hardass I'm really not. http://www.wpxi.com/video/20973126/
If we were "scared" of the public, we certainly wouldn't have gone into this business! We say welcome... Protesters, Anarchists, Anti-Christs, Police, Prime Ministers, whatever just behave and buy a coffee please. Then you can use our bathrooms and WiFi
But the best press of all, this week, was being "Sprudged". 21st = stunned/honored
