Hello, all. I would like to introduce you to Seneca Haynes, a Blacksburg, VA based documentary filmmaker. He has gathered a considerable amount of support for a film about sustainable coffee, direct trade purchasing models and the impact of specialty coffee on our community here in Virginia. Kickstarter.com picked up his project and he is sitting at 31% funding.
He signed on to ride shotgun with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Roasters Group members who are headed to Sao Paulo in June (6-14) and hopes to extend his stay to meet as many farmers and coffee people as possible.
As of this writing, nearly all of the 55 backers are Blacksburg residents or people directly connected to the trip. I'm hoping members of this site will back the project and invite others to do the same. If you are uncomfortable pledging, please help us spread the word with blog posts, Twitter or Facebook mentions. If you have questions or concerns about the project, please email me directly at email@example.com.
