MANE Mid Atlantic Northeast Artisan Coffee Conference

Postby Gerra on Mon Sep 13, 2010 11:00 am

Registration is now open for the 4th annual Mid Atlantic Northeast Artisan Coffee Conference! The MANE is a 2.5 day education based event for people in the coffee industry. We have two tracks of classes, one for baristas and one for owner/managers. The classes themselves range from lectures on milk science, coffee extraction, equipment preventative maintenance to hands on espresso lab, roundtable discussions and brewing demos. BGA level 1 exam is being offered as well! The event will be October 8th-10th here in Providence.
Sarah Allen, editor of Barista Magazine is our keynote speaker and we are pleased to have secured Amanda Byron of Joe in NYC, Phil Proteau and Tommy Gallagher of Counter Culture Coffee, Jay Caragay of Spro, Rob Stephen of InterAmerican Coffee, Sarah Kluth of Intelligentsia and Trish Rothgeb of Wrecking Ball Coffee as presenters.
Thanks to an amazing amount of sponsor support we are able to keep the registration cost for the whole event at $60 which includes lunch on Saturday, breakfast goodies on Saturday and Sunday, cocktail parties on Friday and Saturday night and all the classes, lectures and labs.
Please contact me or Troy for more details and for a registration packet with all the details.
We are excited to see lots of you there.

For anyone even considering attending this event: I HIGHLY recommend going! Gerra and Troy put on a fabulous show. The education factor is extremely high, great speakers, lots of hands on time and great opportunities to meet old and new industry friends and colleagues.

by far on best of the best list.

Not to mention there is a great bed and breakfast down the way......
