CALL FOR SCAA BOARD NOMINATIONS
2010-2012 Board of Directors
Directors are elected each spring by the Association’s membership to fill vacancies left by outgoing members of the SCAA Board. Directors serve a two year term, each Board year being May 1 – April 30. Board members fulfill the following responsibilities:
Strategic & fiduciary oversight of the Association
Serve on at least one SCAA committee as a Chair or Co-chair
Attend and actively participate in Board of Director’s meetings, including regular quarterly meetings and other meetings as determined by the Board
At this time, participating in the SCAA as a Director is a volunteer position. Directors receive reimbursement for travel and some expenses to attend regularly scheduled board meetings. It is required that an SCAA Director be an eligible voting member of the Association. The election process and procedure is outlined in detail in the SCAA Bylaws as published in the annual Membership Directory. If you have any questions about the SCAA nominations or Nominating Committee, please contact the SCAA offices at 562.624.4100.
Nominations forms are available on-line at http://www.scaa.org/?page=board or by fax from SCAA.
All members are encouraged to submit names of candidates who would make a valuable contribution to the Association by serving on the SCAA Board of Directors. In addition to completing the form on our website, please feel free to submit up to 100 words describing, in your view, the nominee’s qualifications.
