Header Images

Postby Alistair Durie on Sat Jul 09, 2005 11:30 pm

I'd like to use some new images for the coffeed.com header, if anyone would like to send some images to use for the site that would be cool.

I will code a subtext to put below explaining the image and crediting the photographer (if you wish).

send images to alistair()coffeed.com

do you have the capability (or time) to tie the backgrounds into a PHP rotator?

if and when I get down to Hines (looks like Monday), I'll bring my super wide angle Alistair, and take some shots for your header, if you like. Should give a good wide scope for the low vertical pixel count.

Soo lucky... It seems a fruitless endeavor to convince my dad to drive down to Seattle so I can visit Hines... so I'll have to rely on your pictures! Do you plan on taking many?

Hines has, other than fantastic coffee, proven that typical items like menus, tills, fancy cabinet/millwork, uniforms and logo shwag seem almost unnecessary.
I don't think it will work for everybody, but if passion for the coffee is #1 then you might be able to duplicate their unique and eclectic style.

Haha... love the current header image with Horny.

Too funny: the paranoid, scared look on his face as he picks up the Espresso Vivace anniversary capp cup... as if he fears that David Schomer himself may be crouched down inside, waiting for the chance to POUNCE!

"krups" on john's sleeve. photo has been flopped; a no-no when there is print/logo in the photo. i once reemed an ad agency for flopping a photo of june while she was wearing a logo apron.

i know it's not a big deal here, but it's just one of those nail-on-the-blackboard things for former layout/graphics folks.

when i flopped, another bonus (other than having a darker space for the coffeed logo), was that the krups logo turned into jibberish.
