My photoset from Ethiopia in November

Postby sutono on Tue Dec 22, 2009 4:49 pm

The pictures (http://www.flickr.com/photos/sutono/set ... 928065309/) are broken out in the following way:

1. Landscapes
2. People
3. Coffee
4. Colors
5. Animals
6. Signs
7. Mishmosh

We traveled to Addis, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe, Kaffa, Jimma, and Harrar. It was my first trip to Ethiopia and was certainly an eye-opening experience. We developed some fantastic relationships that we hope will play out in the next year. Anyway, enjoy the photos - i hope to have them labeled soon, but if you have any questions, pm me.

Stunning images. Nice to see Caleb in there.

Can I ask what camera you used to take them?

Hey Guys, thanks.

Chris, I used 2 cameras-a film Nikon N90S, and a digital Canon Eos 3D. On the nikon I used 3 lenses, including a 24mm.

Wow Tony... great photos. Looks like a trip of a lifetime. Great framing on the people shots and nice job capturing the colors.

Gotta ask since this was the photo that surprised us most... were you game on hand-feeding the hyenas?

Hey Rich,

to be honest, I was way too high on Qat in my 'hotel' room. I use quotes around the word 'hotel' because the owner stole my dad's camera in the middle of the night and tried to ransom it back to him in the morning. The hyena pictures were taken in Harar, and feeding them camel meat on a stick with your mouth is quite the thing to do.
