European contracts: ECC vs. EDCC

Can any explain the difference between the "European Contract for Coffee" and "European Delivery Contract for Coffee" in practical terms and why one would choose the latter? The ECC seems more comprehensive and I recognize that shipping terms differ between the two, but I'm having difficulty picturing a situation where the EDCC would be preferable... but seeing as someone took the time to write the thing, there must be a good reason. Suggestions?
